Lila Arlene Davis, age 58, of Countryview Manor in Carrollton, Ohio, formerly of Noble County, Ohio, died Monday, March 26, 2007, at Mercy Hospital, Canton. She was born April 29, 1948, in Cambridge, Ohio, daughter of the late Cecil Craig and Rachel Elizabeth Corwin Davis. Lila always had a big smile for her friends. She attended Carroll Hills Industries where she was recognized as being friendly, meticulous, and a hard worker. She had many friends at the Carrollton Group Home, and she enjoyed a variety of music, attended dances, and spent time with her friends. She was fond of dressing up, getting her hair and nails done, and she loved jewelry. She also enjoyed collecting dolls and puzzles. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-mother, Faye Groves Davis; one brother, Dwight Davis; one sister-in-law, Patricia Davis; and a nephew, Larry Davis. Surviving are a step-mother, Veldine Francis Reed Davis of Reno; one sister, Lelona (Don) Hedleston of Junction City, Kansas; one brother, Dale (Judi) Davis of Pleasant City; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Davis of Byesville; three aunts, Laura Gattrell and Kathryn Corwin, both of Cambridge and Eva Davis of Pleasant City; three step-sisters, Edith Frecker, Connie Pugh, and Rose Hensler; four step-brothers, Sheldon, Albert, Mark, and David Reed; 11 nieces and nephews; many cousins; and many friends at Countryview Manor, the Carrollton Group Home, and Carroll Hills Industries. No visitation will be observed. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 31, 2007, at Bethel Cemetery, Kirkbride Hill Road, Pleasant City at 1PM with Rev. Francis LaFollette officiating.
