Obituary for L. Jolene Clark
L. Jolene Clark, age 85, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, December 4, 2017, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born February 20, 1932, in Caldwell, daughter of the late Glen and Chloe Fogle Long. She was a 1949 graduate of Forest Grove High School and she attended the Good Samaritan Nursing School. She was employed as a nurse’s aide. Along with her husband, she owned and operated the Knotty Pine Drive In at Woodsfield and the family farm near Reinersville. Jolene was a member of the Reinersville United Methodist Church and a member of the Guernsey Chapter #211, Order of the Eastern Star at Cambridge. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who was devoted to caring for her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph L. Clark, whom she married June 18, 1950, and who died July 6, 2015; two sons, Garry G. Clark and Dennis D. Clark; one grandson, Christopher Clark; her sisters, Lola Jeane Feldner, who was her twin sister, Betty Walters, Clarice Reed, and Karen Long; and one brother, Jimmy Walters.
Surviving are her children, Larry L. (Linda) Clark of Reinersville, Randy R. Clark (Mark VanZanten) of Marietta, Eugene E. Clark (Scott Limbaugh) of Zanesville, and Alan A. (Tiah) Clark of New Concord; one brother, Ralph L. Long of Byesville; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Thursday, December 7, 2017, from 5-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell. An Eastern Star service will be observed Thursday evening at 7PM. The funeral service will be observed Friday, December 8th at 11AM with Pastor Jim Garrett and Pastor George Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Reinersville Cemetery.
