Obituary for Kevin Brent Poland
Kevin Brent Poland, age 49, of Sarahsville, Ohio, died Monday, August 28, 2006, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born July 18, 1957, son of the late Nile Edgar and June Elizabeth Creager Poland. He was a 1975 graduate of Shenandoah High School, Sarahsville, and a 1979 graduate of Muskingum College, from which he received a bachelor of arts degree in education. He was employed by Noble Local Schools as a 3rd grade teacher at Shenandoah Elementary School, and was taking courses towards his masters degree in educaton at Muskingum College. He attended Faith Baptist Church, Belle Valley, and was a member of the Ohio Education Association. Mr. Poland enjoyed fixing up houses. He is survived by a daughter, Alena M. Netting, of Sarahsville; two sons, Jerry A. Poland, stationed at Ft. Drum, New York, and currently deployed in Iraq, and Kenneth B. Poland of Sarahsville; two brothers, Craig N. Poland and Edgar J. Poland, both of Caldwell; four grandchildren, Nicholas Poland, Kimberly Poland, Brent Poland, and Alexander Netting; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends may call Friday, September 1, 2006, from 1-3PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the service will follow at 3PM with Pastor Darrell Chapman officiating.
