Obituary for Kenneth L. Gibson
Kenneth L. Gibson, age 75, of Sarahsville Ohio, died Friday, June 05, 2009, at Willow Haven Nursing Home, Zanesville. He was born April 26, 1934, near Sarahsville, son of the late John Gibson and Ada Robbins Gibson Fowler. He was a 1952 graduate of Sarahsville High School and he was a United States Army veteran. Mr. Gibson was a life member and past commander of Caldwell Post #4721 VFW and Belle Valley American Legion Post #641. He had been a member of the former Noble Lodge #459 Free and Accepted Masons in Caldwell. Mr. Gibson was employed as a barber and as a truck driver for most of his life. He loved golfing, collecting model cars, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters, Dianna J. (Tom) Heinrich of Zanesville and Rachel L. (Scott) Sigmon of Dillonvale; one step-daughter, Linda K. Roberts of Cambridge; one step-son William L. Roberts of Akron; one sister, Martha L. (Robert) Moore of Sarahsville; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and 3 nieces. Friends and family may call Monday, June 8th, 2009, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 9th, 2009, at 1PM with Pastor Harry Summers officiating. Burial will follow at Village View Cemetery in Sarahsville, with military honors presented by members of the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations. Memorial contributions may be made to Willow Haven Nursing Home, 1020 Taylor Street, Zanesville, Ohio, 43701.
