Obituary for Kenneth J. Gallagher
Kenneth J. Gallagher, age 68, of Hilliard, Ohio, died Sunday, February 14, 2010, at Doctors West Hospital in Columbus. He was born October 29, 1941, in Grafton, North Dakota, son of the late Mark and Vernette Lessard Gallagher. He attended Crosier Seminary in Onamia, Minnesota, and he graduated from the North American College Seminary in Rome, Italy. He was ordained as a Roman Catholic priest in Rome. He owned and operated Cornerstone Retirement Solutions in Hilliard, formerly known as the Senior Information Referral Center. He was a member of the San Margarita Roman Catholic Church in Columbus. In addtion to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Mary Dahlen. Surviving are his wife, Darla Jean Ginn Gallagher, whom he married June 17, 1986; four sons, Scott (Cecelia), Joshua (Lora) and Jon (Kim), all of Westerville and Jayson (Teri) of Hilliard; his adopted daughter, Nicole (Ron) of Powell; his brothers and sisters, Gene (Rose) Gallagher, Al (Ruth Anne) Gallagher, and Francis (Julie) Gallagher, all of Fargo, North Dakota, Dorothy (Elwood) Schumacher and Carol (Ken) Gardner, both of Drayton, North Dakota, Don (Peggy) Gallagher of Crookston, Minnesota, Diane Gallagher Shultz of West Fargo, North Dakota, and Patrick (Missy) Gallagher of Seattle, Washington; two-sisters-in-law, Doris (Charlie) Stottsberry of Sarahsville and Mitzi (Russ) Mellott of Grove City; two special nephews, Zacchary and Nathan; Papa's Peanuts, Savannah, Karalee, Chase, Brandon, Joshua, and Aidan; his pets, Maggie, Millie, and Gracie; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday, February 17, 2010,from 5 to 9 PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a Christian Scripture service will follow at 9PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass willl be observed Thursday, February 18th at 10AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris as celebrant.
