He lost his adventure companion on August 11, 2018.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Mary Jane Allred; two brothers, William “Mike” Wilson and Thomas Wilson; and a son-in-law, Joe Cline.

He leaves behind three children: two daughters, Cheri (Michael) Stevens and Kendra Cline, both of Summerfield, and one son, Scott (Stacy) Wilson of Hebron; three brothers, Ronald (Karen) Wilson of Dresden, David (Janice) Wilson of Reynoldsburg, and Daniel (Cheryl) Wilson of Holden, Maine; two sisters, Janet Sue Wilson of Groveport and Patricia (James) Hilliker of Portland, Oregon; a sister-in-law, Karen Wilson of Caldwell; two brothers-in-law, Porter (Charlotte) Slagle of Batesville and Vaughn Slagle of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; seven grandchildren, Miranda Bourassa, Bradley Cline, Amber Chretien, Chelsea Cline, Jackie Schmeltz, Emily Stevens, and Christine Stevens; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
