Kenneth A. Funk, age 76, of Pleasant City, Ohio, died Friday, August 15, 2014, at his home. He was born January 18, 1938, in Canton, son of the late Paul and Edith Kidd Funk. He was retired as a machine operator from Detroit Diesel, and he was formerly employed by NCR in Cambridge. He was Protestant by faith, and he was a member of the Washington County Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed hunting, spending time looking through his telescope, and playing video games.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two infant sisters.
Surviving are his wife, June Florine Kirkbride Funk, whom he married June 22, 1957; two daughters, Rose Marie (Gary) Butler of Ava and Christine Elizabeth (Scott) Carpenter of Pleasant City; two sisters, Eileen Parsons of Seminole, Florida and Judy Stewart of Kissimmee, Florida; three brothers, Paul, Gary, and Dale Funk, all of Tennessee; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation was observed and there will be no visitation or service at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at P.O.
