Obituary for Kathryn M. Boyd
Kathryn M. Boyd, age 84, of Dexter City, Ohio, died Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born November 5, 1930, in Dexter City, daughter of the late Clarence and Edna Addlesburger Schneeberger. She was a 1951 graduate of Dexter City High School, and she was a beloved mother and homemaker. She formerly attended the Akron Baptist Temple, and she attended New Harmony Baptist Church in Dexter City. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing, knitting, and she enjoyed raising chickens.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kyla Brooke Boyd; and two brothers, David Schneeberger and Fred Schneeberger.
Surviving are her husband, Albert E. Boyd, whom she married October 5, 1951; her children, Kathy A. Boyd of the home, Jimmie D. (Linda) Boyd of Mogadore, Nancy S. (Roger) Mitchell of Cumberland, Tim W. (Donna) Boyd of Caldwell, and Roy E. (Denise) Boyd of Pleasant City; one sister, Irene Boney of Caldwell; two brothers, Raymond (June) Schneeberger of Caldwell and Paul (Arlene) Schneeberger of Dexter City; 8 grandchildren, Amanda Boyd, Katie Beal, Ashley Wheeldin, Kelsey Holt, Silas Mitchell, Daniel Mitchell, Matthew Boyd, and Levi Boyd; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday, February 10, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, February 11th at 11AM with Pastor Bill Pickenpaugh and Pastor Larry Copley officiating. Burial will follow at Ogle’s Ridge Cemetery.
