Obituary for June K. Andrews
June K. Andrews, age 95, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born June 30, 1919, in Dennison, daughter of the late Everett O. and Della C. Ruppenthal Andrews. She was a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, where she attended from 1942-1944. She taught Bible for 21 years in Michigan schools, and she founded Teen Haven Youth Center in Vassar, Michigan, for which she also served as director, retiring in 1994. Miss Andrews was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma (Gordon) Svelmoe and Wanda (William) Irvin; and one brother, Everett O. Andrews, Jr.
Surviving are 3 nieces, including Ruth Smith and Mary Ann Clark, both of Caldwell; 6 nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday, September 2, 3014, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, September 3rd at 11AM with Pastor David Denny officiating. Burial will follow at Dudley Cemetery.
