John Miles Haga, age 51, of Belle Valley, Ohio, died Friday morning (11/22/2002) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge, Ohio following a long illness. He was born 6/28/1951 at Cambridge a son of Velma L. Hannahs Haga of Belle Valley and the late Bennie J. Haga who died 11/19/1991. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was an former employee of Gateway Market in Caldwell, Ohio; was a Methodist by faith and was a member of Belle Valley Post #641 American Legion where he had been a member of the Honor Guard and the Cambridge Amvets. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by a sister Charlene Haga. In addition to his mother he is survived by a daughter Cindy Taylor of Munster, Indiana; 1-sister Darlene (Dan) Connolly of Caldwell; 1 brother Jerry (Jennifer) Haga of Belle Valley and 1 grandaughter Clarissa. Friends may call Monday (11/25/2002) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724, where services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Rev. David Kaczmarski officiating. Caldwell Post #4721 VFW and Belle Valley Post #641 American Legion will conduct military honors at the funeral home.
