Obituary for John J. Arnold

John J. Arnold, age 58, of Caldwell, Ohio, died at his home in Caldwell. He was born September 12, 1964, son of Francis C. Arnold of Caldwell and the late Norma J. Snider Arnold. John was a 1982 graduate of Caldwell High School. He worked in construction and concrete and was employed by the Village of Caldwell as a meter reader. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. John enjoyed fishing and reading and was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He cared for his mom and dad and sacrificed for his family. He loved his nieces and nephews and enjoyed taking them to ball games.


In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his brother, Matthew F. Arnold; maternal grandparents, Edwin and Edna Snider; and paternal grandparents, Beda and Marie Arnold.


Surviving in addition to his father are his siblings, Alan E. Arnold of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Lorena R. “Lori” Harrison of Thomasville, North Carolina; his nieces and nephews, Keith, Derek, Dustin, Anna, and Emily; his great-nieces,  Madison and Amelia Norma Jean; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.


A Celebration of Life service will be observed Thursday at 6PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, with Ken Perkins officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org, or to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org. An online guestbook may be signed at www.mcvay-perkins.com
