Obituary for John H. Stottsberry
John H. Stottsberry, age 76, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. He was born April 14, 1936, in Noble County, son of the late Ray and Sadie Mae Baker Stottsberry. He was employed by the Tidewater Corporation, and he was a laborer for various oil and gas well companies. He retired as a bus driver for Noble Local Schools, and he was also employed by Food Center. He formerly attended the Main Street Church of Christ in Caldwell. Mr. Stottsberry enjoyed being outdoors, where he loved gardening, riding four wheelers and his golf cart. He also enjoyed spending time at his cabin at Seneca Lake. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Cecil Stottsberry. Surviving are his companion of eleven years, Joanne McKown of the home; a special grandson, Brandon L. DeLancey of Caldwell; five brothers, Wayne Stottsberry of Byesville, Arthur (Sharon) Stottsberry and Charles (Doris) Stottsberry, both of Caldwell, Larry Stottsberry of Warsaw, and Michael (Brenda) Stottsberry of Cambridge; two sisters-in-law, Verna Stottsberry of Caldwell and Pearl Stottsberry of Summerfield; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Saturday, May 12, 2012, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Sunday, May 13th at 2PM with Pastor Brennan Dudley officiating. Burial will follow at Village View Cemetery in Sarahsville.
