Obituary for Jody D. Ingram
Jody D. Ingram, age 51, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born November 3, 1968, in Willard, Ohio, son of Carol June Bivens Miller of Caldwell and Amel Ingram of Kentucky. He was a 1987 graduate of Caldwell High School and the Guernsey-Noble Joint Vocational School, where he studied auto mechanics. Jody worked at various jobs over the years, including at a dairy farm, as a truck driver, in logging and sawmills, and as an oil field equipment operator. He was also employed by Southeastern Equipment and R.R. Donnelly’s Printing Press. He most recently worked as a farm hand in Kentucky. He attended Keith United Methodist Church, and he was a former member of the Caldwell Eagles. Jody loved to work on small engines, and if it could be fixed, he would fix it. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, he enjoyed flowers, and he loved dogs. He was also a gifted writer. He will be remembered for his tremendous sense of humor, and for being loving and respectful of his mother.
He is preceded in death by his step-father, Marvin Miller.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his children, Shelby N. Ingram of Marietta and Landon T. Ingram of Caldwell; his step-daughter, Sylvia A. (Zach) Holshu of Belpre; his siblings, Ricky (Cathy) Ingram of Caldwell, Amel (Lisa) Ingram, Jr. of Pennsylvania, Terry Ingram and Ed (Lisa) Ingram, all of Fulda, Wesley Ingram of Morristown, and Kenneth (Andrea) Ingram of Caldwell; one grandson, Chandler M. S. Edwards of Marietta; his step-grandchildren, Bryer, Kaleb, Gavin, and Kayana Holshu of Belpre; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Tuesday, January 14, 2020, from 4-8PM and Wednesday, January 15th from 12-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation Wednesday at 1PM with Pastor Kevin White officiating.
