Obituary for Jerry D. Smith
Jerry D. Smith, age 35, of Beverly, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born February 7, 1987, in Marietta, son of the late Hill Franklin and Kathy L. Emerick Smith. Jerry was a graduate of Caldwell High School. He worked in oil fields and as a carpet installer. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, and doing anything outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Jessica D. Hart Smith, whom he married August 4, 2009; three daughters, Alexis Lynn Smith, Avery Dawn Smith, and Addison Marie Smith, all of Beverly; one sister, Samantha C. Smith of Caldwell; one brother, Michael J. (Savanna) Smith of Caldwell; one aunt, Alice L. Valyntina of Weirton, West Virginia; three uncles, Herman “Buggy” Smith of New Martinsville, West Virginia, Larry Joy of Lowell, and Jerry Stack of Macksburg; and several cousins.

There will be no service at this time. McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, is caring for the family.
