Obituary for Jenny L. Ruppel
Jenny L. Ruppel, age 53, of Caldwell, Ohio, slipped away to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born August 2, 1957, in Cleveland, daughter of Sharon McElfresh (Santo Stumpo) of Warren and the late Jack McElfresh, Sr. She was a 1975 graduate of Caldwell High School, and a 1999 graduate of Washington State Community College in Marietta, from which she graduated as an LPN. She was a veteran of the Ohio Air National Guard, for which she served from 1978-1981, and she was formerly employed by the Noble County Sheriff's Office as a dispatcher for 12 years. She was employed as a caring nurse for Genesis Health Systems in Zanesville and for Summit Acres Nursing Home. Mrs. Ruppel was a member of the Sharon Presbyterian Church, and she enjoyed gardening and flowers. She loved her children and her grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by one brother, Jack McElfresh, Jr.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Gary L. Ruppel, whom she married May 21, 1988; her children, Lucas of Columbus, Reva (Brook) Steed of Cincinnati, Brian, and Kate, both of the home; two special granddaughters, Hailey and Riley Ruppel of Caldwell; two sisters, Barbara (Rick) Sarri of Ashtabula and Sharon Clark of Marietta; one brother, Danny McElfresh of Florida; her mother and father-in-law, Jean and Gerald Ruppel of Caldwell; one sister-in-law, Diane (Jerry) Emde of Michigan; two brothers-in-law, Dennis (Dianna) Ruppel of Columbus and Larry Ruppel of Caldwell; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Thursday, May 5, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Friday, May 6th at 11AM with Pastor Helen Lewis and Fr. Wayne Morris officiating. A veteran's graveside service will follow at Sharon Cemeteryconducted bythe Noble County Veteran Service Organizations.
