Jennifer Dawn Welch, age 56, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Genesis Hospice Care (Morrison House) in Zanesville. She was born March 18, 1966, in Cambridge, daughter of Frances A. Rowlands Creamer of Caldwell and the late Charles C. Creamer. Jennifer was a 1984 graduate of Caldwell High School and attended Washington State Community College in Marietta, where she studied radio broadcasting. She was employed as a unit coordinator for Summit Acres Nursing Home, as a receptionist for GMN, and she was also employed by the Noble County License Bureau. Jennifer was a member of Barry’s Ridge Church and attended the Macksburg United Methodist Church. She served as a 4-H advisor and was former president and member of the Noble County 4-H Council. She was an avid reader. Jennifer was devoted to her family and loved attending all of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Raymond “Bink” Tidd.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Ricky D. Welch, whom she married June 28, 1986; her children, Dustin Andrew (Cori) Welch of Marietta, Ashley Alcena-Dawn (Justin) Ward and Drew Alexander Welch, all of Caldwell, and Derick Austin Welch of Byesville; 6 grandchildren, Emily Nichole Welch, Parker Martin Neff, Hayden Alcena-Dawn Crum, Reese Virginia Welch, Trae Austin Welch, and Charles John “C.J.” Welch’ her siblings, Kevin E. Creamer of Caldwell and Dennis S. (Jennifer) Creamer of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many special friends.
Friends may call Friday, March 3, 2023, from 2-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Saturday, March 4th at 11AM with Ken Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Schafer’s Cemetery.
