Obituary for Jennifer A. Haga
Jennifer A. Haga, age 59, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, March 19, 2021, at Altercare Summit Acres. She was born December 31, 1961, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Delbert and Myrtle Maxine Long Bates. She was a 1979 graduate of Shenandoah High School. Jennifer was a beloved mother and homemaker. She attended Barry’s Ridge Church and later attended Faith Baptist Church. She was a member of the Belle Valley American Legion Auxiliary Post #641 and the Buffalo AMVETS. She loved coloring, reading, trivia, playing bingo and all kinds of board games, and listening to music.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wayne Haga, whom she married August 16, 1985, and who died March 12, 2005; one sister, Margaret A. Benner, who died January 5, 2021; and two nephews.
Surviving are her children, Nicole L. Haga of Cambridge and Benjamin M. Haga of Belle Valley; one grandson, Elijah Samuel Danford of Caldwell; her siblings, John V. (Judy) Bates of Sarahsville, Mary E. (Gary) Caldwell of Belle Valley, and Jimmy B. (Becky) Bates of Georgetown, Kentucky; 3 nieces; 2 nephews; and several cousins.
Friends may call Tuesday, March 23, 2021, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, March 24th at 11AM with Pastor Larry Copley officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery. Guests are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing at all gatherings as required by the state of Ohio.
