Jason Lee "RamCat" Ramsey, age 40, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Wednesday, December 14, 2022, in his mother’s arms. He was born June 6, 1982, in Cambridge son of Herbert “Herb” and Sherri L. Pilcher Ramsey of Caldwell. Jason was a 2001 graduate of Caldwell High School. He was employed by Richard Rutherford for several years and Exit 37 Truck Repair, where he was a mechanic’s helper. He attended the Main Street Church of Christ and the First Church of Christ, both of Caldwell. Jason was an avid fisherman and shed hunter who enjoyed cruising backroads looking for deer. He loved having coffee with friends and neighbors and enjoyed playing the lottery and scratching the tickets. He enjoyed giving people rides to the store and was good to everyone. He was a kind and loving man.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Larry and Velma Pilcher; his paternal grandparents, Charles and Juanita Ramsey; and his cousin, Tim Lamp.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Taylor P. Ramsey and Jacob T. Ramsey, both of Caldwell, Heather Ramsey of New Concord, and Jennifer Ramsey of Adamsville; a special aunt, Donna Lamp of Caldwell; a special cousin, Tyler Lamp of Caldwell; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; several special friends and neighbors; and his beloved cat, Jethro.
Friends may call Friday, December 16, 2022, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Saturday, December 17th at 11AM with Ken Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to PAWS, Inc., Human Society of Noble County at www.noblepawsinc.com.
