Obituary for Janice M. Nichelson
Janice M. Nichelson, age 71, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. She was born July 8, 1940, in Caldwell, daughter of the late Gilbert W. and Opal L. White Weekley. She was a 1959 graduate of Caldwell High School and was employed through the years by Ball's Supermarket, The Certified Station, and Summit Acres Nursing Home, all of Caldwell. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Caldwell and its Lamda Phi Sunday School Class. Janice enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, Bryan and Jennifer.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Velosky and Dorothy Hurst; and an infant brother, Gilbert Weekley.
Surviving are her husband Kenneth L. Nichelson, whom she married on May 18, 1962; two daughters, Darla A. (Larry) Tucker of Painesville and Sherri A. (Shawn) Fogle of Columbus; one son, Dale A. Nichelson of the home;one sister, Shirley Rayner of Caldwell;two grandchildren, Bryan and Jennifer Tucker; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Thursday, July 28, 2011, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the service will be observed Friday, July 29, 2011, at 11AM with Pastor Dale Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of Christ, 601 North Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724.
