Obituary for Janet Ruth Moore
Janet Ruth Moore, age 73, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, February 16, 2013, at her home. She was born August 8, 1939, in Cadiz, Ohio, daughter of the late George Hershel and Delia Jane Hashman Oliver. She was a 1957 graduate of Valley Local High School in Buffalo, Ohio, and she was employed over the years by Hamilton Beach Skovil, Mr. Lee’s Restaurant, The Corner Confectionary, and Lumi-Lite Candle Company. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Harmony Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing bingo at the Belle Valley American Legion, and she loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Joann Eibel and Mary Evelyn Moore; and one brother, Frederick M. Oliver. Surviving are her husband, Harry Murel Moore, whom she married June 29, 1957; children, Rick Frederick Murel Moore (Joyce Hardwick) of Marietta, Sheila Marie (Rich) Baker of Belle Valley, Cindy D. Moore and her chihuahua, Button, of Caldwell, Charles Hershel (Rhonda) Moore of Sarahsville, Harry Daniel (Betty) Moore of Caldwell, and Mark Thomas Moore of Caldwell; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her poodle, Smoky Joe. Friends may call Tuesday, February 19, 2013, from 2-4PM at Harmony Lutheran Church in Buffalo, Ohio, and from 7-9PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, February 20th at 11AM with Pastor Rod Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Village View Cemetery in Sarahsville.
