Obituary for Janet Marie Harper
Janet Marie Harper, age 47, of Caldwell, died Friday, June 3, 2005, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born October 19, 1957, in Marietta, daughter of the late Robert F. and Ila Ruth Vanhorn Houser. She was a 1976 graduate of Fort Frye High School, and was employed at Broughton Foods since 1976 as a human resources representative. She was also a tax preparer for H&R Block. Mrs. Harper was a member of First Church of Christ in Caldwell, where she was the former treasurer and Sunday evening youth leader. She was a Cub Scouts Den Mother for Pack #584, Caldwell, for nine years, and was a member of T.O.P.S., Marietta. She is survived by her husband, David L. Harper, whom she married April 14, 1979; three sons, Michael L. (Christinia) Harper; Adam D. Harper, and Jason W. Harper, all of Caldwell; two sisters, Mrs. James (Sharon S.) Lane of Vincent, Ohio and Mrs. Charlie (Bonnie J.) Merritt of Brownsville, Ohio; father-in-law, John William (Hester) Harper of Shawnee, Ohio and mother-in-law, Virginia L. Cramblett of North Canton; a brother-in-law, Bruce (Kathy) Cramblett of Marietta; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday, June 5th, from 2-9PM, with the family present from 2-4 and 7-9PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the service will be Monday, June 6th, at 1PM with Pastor Loran Dace officiating. Burial will be at Sharon Cemetery.
