Obituary for Janet Lee Chaffin
Janet Lee Chaffin, age 70, of Pleasant City, Ohio, died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at her home. She was born March 29, 1939, in Hanover, Indiana, daughter of the late Robert and Lois Mae King Hearn. She worked for over 20 years as a teller for B. F. Goodrich Credit Union at Avon Lake, and she formerly owned and operated H & J Auto at Avon for thirteen years. She was a former president of the American Working Women's Association of Lorain for many years. She enjoyed crafts and operated a booth at Rinky Dinks Flea Market in Marietta, where she bought and sold glass. She enjoyed computer games and she was an avid glass collector. Surviving are her husband, Bertram Lloyd Chaffin, to whom she had been married for 49 years; one daughter, Sandra Lee Blackburn of Lorain; one son, David Lloyd Chaffin of Pleasant City; one sister, Mary Jo Hearn of Cincinnati; four grandchildren, Heather Marie Chaffin, Jason Holyko, Christopher Blackburn, and Jared Blackburn; and one great-granddaughter. No visitation or service will be observed at this time.
