Obituary for James R. Morris
James R. Morris, age 76, of Paradis, Louisiana, formerly of Coshocton, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was born October 26, 1934, in Sharon, Ohio, son of the late Willis A. and Beulah R. West Morris. He was formerly employed by the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office, and he worked as a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Morris was an avid horseman and well known horse show judge.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Sue Wheeler and Lena M. Tysinger; and two brothers, John and Roy Lee Morris.
Surviving are eleven children: Luanne West of West Lafayette, Pamela McKee of Coshocton, Robert "Rob" Morris of Raceland, Louisiana, James "Bo" Morris of Amite, Louisiana, Mark Morris of West Lafayette, Reagan Dreher of Coshocton, Thomas "Tommy" Dreher of Coshocton, Lance Dreher of Coshocton, Trevor Dreher of Kissimmee, Florida, Bradley, "BJ" Morris of Port Washington and Mandi Morris of Kimbolton; two brothers, Jesse D. Morris of Zanesville and Manley E. Morris of Coshocton; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 2-8PM and Sunday March 27th from 10 AM-2PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow at 2PM with Pastor Bill Pickenpaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery.
