James Franklin Masters, age 62, of Ava, Ohio, died Thursday morning (7/18/2002) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge, Ohio. He was born 8/14/1939 at Derwent, Guernsey County, Ohio a son of the late Clyde Richard and Edna Mae Trenner Masters. He was a 1957 graduate of Sarahsville High School in Sarahsville, Ohio and was a retired employee of LDM Technologies in Byesville, Ohio. He was a member of the Ava Free Methodist Church in Ava, Ohio. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Linda Sue Nichelson Masters whom he married 6/1/1963 and who died 1/16/2000 and 3 infant sisters. Surviving are 2 sisters Glenna J. Amweg and Louise L. Newell of Zanesville, Ohio; 3 brothers Carl F. 'Fred' Masters of Cambridge, Ohio, Clarence G. Masters of Byesville, Ohio and Malcom L. Masters of Cambridge, Ohio; a brother-in-law W. Frank Buckey of the residence; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call Friday (7/19/2002) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724; where services will be held on Saturday (7/20/2002) at 11:00 AM with Pastor Rodney Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Halley's Ridge Cemetery near Ava, Ohio.
