Obituary for Jacob D. Boyd
Jacob D. Boyd, age 27, of Caldwell, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 24, 2013, at his home. He was born February 13, 1986, in Cambridge, son of Wendy M. (Palmer) and Brent D. Henderson of Caldwell and Gerald Boyd of New Concord. He attended the Byesville Assembly of God for many years, and he attended Golden Rule School and Habilitation Center in Byesville for 25 years, where he had many good friends, helpers, and buddies. Jacob loved being outdoors, and loved watching tractors and other kinds of equipment while they worked. He was an excellent supervisor for his family’s many construction projects. He also loved traveling with his family, visiting 28 states, and seeing the Grand Canyon, the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, and visiting with Mickey Mouse in Florida many times. He is preceded in death by one sister, Emily Elizabeth Henderson; and his maternal grandmother, Faye Boyd. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Brian (Dawn Ann) Triplett of Caldwell, Tammy Bennett of Newcomerstown, Vicki (Homer) Pitman of Dayton, and Molly, Caleb, and Heidi Henderson, all of the home; his maternal grandparents, Daniel and Margie Palmer of Caldwell, his paternal grandparents, James and Rosemary Johnson of Caldwell and Galen and Phylis Henderson of Greenville; his spiritual grandparents, Merle and Vangie Bell of Cambridge; four nephews, Ian and Dylan Pitman, Wyatt Bennett, and D. J. Carver; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved church family. Friends may call Wednesday, June 26, 2013, from 5-8PM at the Byesville Assembly of God, 102 South 7th Street, Byesville, and Thursday, June 27th from 12-2PM, where the funeral service will follow at 2PM with Pastor Joe Summers officiating. Burial will follow at Village View Cemetery in Sarahsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Byesville Assembly of God Food Pantry, 102 South 7th Street, Byesville, Ohio, 43723.
