Obituary for Irene T. Moore
Irene T. Moore, age 85, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Thursday, September 29, 2016, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. She was born August 17, 1931, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Pete and Susie Stoyak Minyo. She was a 1951 graduate of Belle Valley High School, and she was a graduate of the LPN program at St. Francis Hospital in Cambridge. She was a beloved mother and homemaker for her family. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Belle Valley and its Catholic Women’s Club. She enjoyed canning and gardening, and she loved following the activities of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Moore, whom she married July 31, 1955, and who died August 31, 2011; and one son-in-law, Danny R. Basford.
Surviving are three daughters, Vickie L. Basford and Patty A. (Denny) Bettinger, both of Caldwell, and Debbie S. (Wayne) Eubanks of Cumberland; her granddaughter, Jennifer L. Dye of Marietta; two brothers, Richard (Judy) Minyo and Mike (Lynn) Minyo, both of Cumberland; one sister-in-law, Erma Wiley of Mt. Ephraim; her dear friend of 60 years who was part of the family, Pat Coleman; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday, September 30, 2016, from 4PM-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a rosary will conclude visitation at 8PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Saturday, October 1st at 10AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 221 Main Street, Belle Valley, with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Belle Valley. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation online at www.kidney.org.
