Obituary for Inez Cain
Inez Cain, age 89, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born July 9, 1927, in Penn Twp., Morgan County, daughter of the late Earl S. and Hazel E. Remy Scott. She was a graduate of Windsor High School in Stockport, and she was a homemaker. Inez was a member of the Tabor Ridge Church of Christ in Morgan County, and she loved flowers, gardening, and canning.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sewell Cain, whom she married August 21, 1948, and who died September 24, 1988; one daughter, Candy Sue Cain, who died August 21, 1949; two sisters, Grace Cain and Geneva Demster; three brothers, Lawrence Scott, who was killed in action during World War II at the Battle of the Bulge, Virgil Scott, and Stanley V. Scott; and a half-sister, Violet Pierce.
Surviving are her children, Steven E. (Darlene) Cain of Reinersville, Gary R. (Judy) Cain of McConnelsville, Mark A. (Jeannie) Cain of Reinersville, and Peggy J. (Steven) Feldner of Pleasant City; one brother, Carlos (Frieda) Scott of McConnelsville; two sisters-in-law, Jeannine Scott of Piqua and Ruth Cain of Caldwell; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Saturday, January 14, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Sunday, January 15th at 2PM with Ken Perkins and Tom Brothers officiating.
