Obituary for Ila Blanche Justice
The tenacious Ila Blanche Justice, age 85, of Cumberland, Ohio, went home to be in the presence of the Lord Monday, October 24, 2016, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. She was born August 13, 1931, in Akron, daughter of the late Thomas and Allie Sullivan Price Hall. Ila was a long time resident of Coventry Township in Akron, and she was a graduate of Akron Garfield High School. Soon after marrying her husband, Bob Justice, she threw her energies into raising their two children. In her young adult life, Ila was highly involved in her community, serving in multiple capacities at her children’s school and ballfields, and she served as president for the Lockwood Schools PTA. She was employed for a time as a shipping clerk for Kent Machine in Stow, and she was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple. She later became a long time resident of Cumberland. Ila was fearless and full of faith. She loved sports, socializing, politicking, and a good bargain. While she had many noteworthy qualities, her best quality seemed to be her ability to love unconditionally. She consistently invested all of herself into the lives of those she loved the most. As a result, she has left a profound impact on so many people. Her zest for life was undeniable, and she leaves us rich in memories.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Justice, whom she married November 20, 1953, and who died in December, 2012; one son, Robert Thomas Justice, who died in July, 2016; one sister, Beulah Reeves; and four brothers, Truman, Thurman, Louis, and Clinton Hall.
Surviving are her loving son, Timothy Lee Justice: her grandchildren, Jessica W. (Steve) Justice Bader, Nolan R. (Alana) Justice, Olivia M. Justice, Jeremy R. Justice, Ashlie (Eric) Justice Mitchell, Joshua T. Justice, Jordan C. Justice, and Jacob M. Justice; her great-grandsons, Tyson K. Bader, Moses J. Bader, and Brody F. Justice; one sister-in-law, Burnice Hall; and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Friends may call Wednesday, October 26, 2016, from 4-8PM and Thursday, October 27th from 11AM-12PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation Thursday at 12PM with Ken Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Halley’s Ridge Cemetery.
