Obituary for I. Glenn Eddleblute
I. Glenn Eddleblute, age 83, of Caldwell, Ohio, went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 30, 2006, at Marietta Memorial Hospital following a 1 1/2 year battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was born October 11, 1923, in Roxbury, Ohio, son of the late Charles and Ida Lochary Eddleblute. He was a World War II Army veteran, having served in Japan, and he was employed by Central Ohio Coal Company for 35 years, where he operated a loading shovel. After his retirement, he worked for Lakeside Golf Course in Beverly. He attended the Marietta Church of the Nazarene, and he was a member of UMWA Local 1604, Webb Chapter #252 F&AM, Stockport, Rufus Putnam Chapter #108 Royal Arch Masons, Beverly, the Valley of Cambridge AASR 32nd degree Mason, and McConnelsville Post #24 American Legion. He was an avid golfer. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Danny Glenn Eddleblute; two grandchildren, Darla and Aaron Coleman; five brothers, Blaine, Dayton, Carlton, Paul, and Victor Eddleblute; and five sisters, Idenys Hoover, Mabel Lane, Gladys White, Lyllis Wallace, and Hazel Pugh. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn L. Eddy Eddleblute, whom he married July 2, 1973; two daughters, Dixie (Ron) Coleman of Stockport and Jennifer (Jamie) Rucker of Caldwell; his step-children, Charles Kisor of Roosevelt, Utah, Ronald (Tammy) Kisor of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Debra (David) Barker and Bonnie (Jeff) Haga, both of Caldwell; 21 grandchildren, Matt Coleman, Shonda Bellville, Andrew, Colton, Kaden, and Cara Rucker, Scott Mollohan, Charles Kisor, Jr., James Kisor, Stacy Stevenson, Nicki Stewart, Ronald Kisor, Jr., Ellie Kisor, Roberta McFarland, Sammi Hubley, Erin Frye, Michael Haga, David Haga, J.D. Haga, and Daniel and J.J. Kisor; 12 great-grandchildren, Chance Coleman, Olivia and Braden Bellville, Ashley Mollohan, Jason and Greg Kisor, Dakota and Dusty Stevenson, Braden and Collin Hubley, Devon Cable, and Emily Haga; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday, January 2, 2007, from 2-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 3 at 10:30AM at Marietta Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Terry Schmelzenbach officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Noble County Veterans Services Organization at Olive Cemetery, Caldwell. Masonic services by Webb Chapter #252 F&AM, Stockport, will be conducted Tuesday evening at 8PM at the funeral home.
