Obituary for Helen J. Harless
Helen J. Harless, age 70, of Beverly, Ohio, died Monday, February 21, 2011, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born October 28, 1940, in Lower Salem, daughter of the late George and Hulda E. Stack Baker. She was a 1958 graduate of Lower Salem High School, and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Harless was a member of the Beverly Baptist Church, a founder and member of the Leo Club in Beverly, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #389 of Beverly, and the Beverly Lions Club.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Paul, and George Baker and one infant brother; and two grandchildren, Bobby Nichols and Lance Nichols, Jr.
Surviving are her husband, Siebert E. Harless, whom she married June, 1986; three children, Lance A. Nichols of Coolville, Lecia A. (Randy) Adams of Beverly, and Patty J. (Cecil) Wiseman of Charleston, West Virginia; two sisters, Mary Ruth Ball of Derwent and Donna Dean (Carlos) Easterday of Pleasant City; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Dez Carpenter.
Friends may call Wednesday February 23, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, and Thursday, February 24th from 9AM-11AM at the Beverly Baptist Church, 405-5th Street, Beverly, where the funeral service will follow at 11AM with Pastor Mike Long officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beverly-Waterford Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 146, Waterford, Ohio, 45786.
