Obituary for Helen Elizabeth Macenko
Helen Elizabeth Macenko, age 98, of Belle Valley, Ohio, died Thursday, March 29, 2012, at her home. She was born January 6, 1914, in Byesville, daughter of the late Andy and Anna Kozay Stasko. She attended the Belle Valley School, and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Macenko was a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Belle Valley, and its Catholic Women’s Club, for which she served as treasurer. She enjoyed making nut rolls with the women of the Catholic Women’s Club. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Andy Macenko, whom she married January 20, 1934, and who died May 1, 1994; one daughter, Lavina Marie Keizur; two sisters, Emma Stasko Karebenus and Anna Stasko McIlwain; and one brother, Andy Stasko. Surviving are one son, Edward Andrew Macenko of Belle Valley; one sister, Pauline Stasko Barta of Cleveland Heights; one son-in-law, John W. Keizur of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one grandson, Alan (Carolyn) Keizur of Issaquah, Washingon; and two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Elizabeth Keizur of Issaquah, Washington. Friends may call Monday, April 2, 2012, from 5-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a Christian wake service will follow at 8PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Tuesday, April 3rd at 10AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Belle Valley, with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
