Obituary for Harry E. Hall
Harry E. Hall, age 87, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born July 14, 1930, in Liberty Township, Washington County, son of the late George and Hazel Laura Groves Hall. He was a 1948 graduate of Elk Rural High School, and he retired from Union Slag Corporation in 1991. Harry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing slot machines, and he was devoted to his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Argie D. Hall; three half-brothers, Wayne Dillon, Ernie Dillon, and Billy G. Dillon; and a son-in-law, Sam Starr.
Surviving are his children, Harry Junior (Linda) Hall of Wingett Run, Merle O. (Sue) Hall of Marietta, Laura M. Hall of Kentucky, Linda M. Starr of Jefferson, and Larry D. (April) Hall of Sarahsville; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Leona Miracle of Caldwell. .
Friends may call Thursday, June 21, 2018, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Friday, June 22nd at 11AM with Evangelist Roger Rush officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Wingett Run. Memorial contributions may be to a charity of one’s choice.
