Harry Daniel “Guppy” Moore, age 56, of Cambridge, Ohio, died Thursday, July 9, 2020, at his home. He was born February 11, 1964, in Belle Valley, son of the late Harry Murel and Janet Ruth Oliver Moore. He was employed many places over the years, retiring from GMN in Caldwell. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing the guitar and singing. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Guppy and his step-daughter weren’t allowed together on Sundays during the NFL season due to their Browns/Steelers rivalry. He was a beloved grandfather who was devoted to his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Mark Moore and Chuck Moore; and a brother-in-law, Rich Baker.
Surviving are his two sons, Jeremy D. “Gerbil” (Kimberly) Moore of Cambridge and Cory L. Moore (Andrea Rice) of Caldwell; his former wife, Betty Jean Rossiter Moore; his siblings, Rick Moore (Joyce Hardwick) of Marietta, Cindi D. Moore of Caldwell, and Sheila M. Baker of Belle Valley; two grandchildren, Jesse Moore and Kyla Moore; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends may call Monday, July 13, 2020, from 11AM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 1PM with Pastor Rodney Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Village View Cemetery in Sarahsville. For public safety, guests are encouraged to wear masks and practice social distancing at all gatherings.
