Obituary for Harry B. Wheeler
Harry B. Wheeler, age 90, of Byesville, Ohio, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at his home. He was born November 25, 1925, in Caldwell, son of the late Ivan and Lunerva Wheeler. He was a United States Navy Marine veteran, having served as a medic during World War II. He was employed by Ethyl Nymold Company in Cleveland, and later for Hills and Wal-Mart in Cambridge, and McDonalds in Byesville. Mr. Wheeler was a member of the Faith Community Free Methodist Church in Cambridge, and he was also a member of the Caldwell and Brady Lake Lions Clubs. He loved bowling, fishing, and playing bingo.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Ann Swope; two sons, Howard and Alan Wheeler; seven sisters, Gladys, Faye, Leona, May, Lucille, Alice, and his twin sister, Bernice; and two brothers, Jimmy and Ray.
Surviving are his wife, Waneta Lee Wilfong Wheeler, whom he married November 3, 1983; his children, Pam (Tim) Verble of Arkansas, Cindy Fobes of Akron, John (Ashley) Wheeler of Byesville, Harry Wheeler, Jr. of North Canton; and Randy Wheeler of Florida; his step-children, Barbara (Cletus) Rohr of Canton, Sandy (Ernie) Albaugh of Ravenna, Marsha (David) Bissell of Massillon, Ron Stalnaker of Caldwell, and Harold (Amy) Workman of Winterset; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday, July 29, 2016, from 2PM-5PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 5PM. A veteran's service conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations will conclude the service.
