Guila Eva Garvin, age 93, of Caldwell, died Tuesday, January 4, 2004, at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell. She was born May 1, 1911, near Hoskinsville, daughter of the late John and Ina Cecil McKee Boney. She was a homemaker, and a member of Bells United Methodist Church; the former Wonder What Club; The Noble County Farmers Market; and the Noble County Senior Citizens. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clem Edward Garvin, on December 9, 1989; three sisters, Belva Marshall, Edna Smith, and Clarice Zimmerman; and two grandsons. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Alice) Barnhart and Mrs. Ronald (Beulah) Parcell, both of Caldwell; two sons, James D. (Sue) Garvin of Caldwell and Dana J. (Jessie) Garvin of Beverly; two brothers, Ancil (Gladys) Boney and Irvil (Irene) Boney, both of Caldwell; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday, January 6, 2004, from 2-4 and 7-9PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the service will be Friday, January 7, at 1PM with Pastor Joe Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Bells Church Cemetery.
