Obituary for Grace O. Parks
Grace O. Parks, age 99, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, December 27, 2008, at her home. She was born September 1, 1909, in Middleburg, Ohio, daughter of the late Samuel J. and Rosalie Jane Love Wilson. She was formerly employed as a waitress, grocery clerk, and by Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Caldwell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence O. Parks, who died in July, 1950; one daughter, Faye E. Bosley who died in March, 1997; and two grandchildren, Matthew Clinton Estadt, who died June 10, 1989, and Michelle Guiler, who died February 18, 1980; four sisters, Elsie Chandler, Alta Gates, Mary Springer, and Estella Sanford; and five brothers, Private William Wilson, Roy, John, and Glenn Wilson, and infant brother Charles Wilson. Surviving are three daughters, Wanda Guiler of Bossier City, Louisiana, Ruby Johnson of Caldwell, and Ellen Stottsberry of Cambridge; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call Tuesday, December 30, 2008, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 31st at 11AM with Evangelists Frank Love and Craig Matheney officiating. Burial will follow at Crum Ridge Cemetery.
