Obituary for Gladys R. Boney
Gladys Rose Boney, age 73, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care in Zanesville. She was born July 20, 1939, in Caldwell, daughter of the late Harold and Louella Bates Clark. She was a 1957 graduate of Sarahsville High School, she was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church near Dexter City. Gladys worked for a nursing home in Byesville and had been a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed taking bus trips, word puzzles, and reading, especially the Bible. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ancil Boney, who died in 2005, and her son, Mark Thomas Boney, who died in 2009. Surviving are one daughter, Tami M. (Richard) Martin of Zanesville; one brother, Harold Clark of North Canton; one sister, Shirley Wise of Rutland; one granddaughter, Abigail Boney of Acme, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, June 14, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 11AM with Pastor Mark Leslie officiating. Burial will follow in Dudley Cemetery.
