Obituary for Gladys M. McKee
Gladys M. McKee, age 101, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, December 12, 2010, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born September 8, 1909, in Cumberland, daughter of the late Charles William and Deborah Wentworth Bates. She was a homemaker, and she was the oldest member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Caldwell.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Denver McKee, who died April 29, 1986; two sisters, Jewell A. Bryan and Beryl McKee; and six brothers, Carl, Albert, Hicel, Cecil, Basel, and Leland Bates.
Surviving are one son, Joe \"Butch\" (Beverly) McKee of Caldwell; two grandchildren, Tammy (Kenny) Pierce and Tom (Kathy) McKee, both of Caldwell; six great-grandchildren, Luke, Brooke, Ryan, and Devon McKee and Jason and Bradley Pierce; eight great-great-grandchildren, Ethan, Grady, Sammy, Tanner, Tate, Trae, Liberty, and Londyn; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday, December 14, 2010, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, December 15th at 2PM with Evangelist Craig Matheny officiating. Burial will follow at Halley\'s Ridge Cemetery near Ava. Memorial contributions may be made to the Main Street Church of Christ, 631 Main Street, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724.
