Obituary for Geneva Ruth Harriman
Geneva Ruth Harriman, age 77, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born January 31, 1937, in Noble County, daughter of the late John and Helen Shimp Foreman. She was formerly employed at NCR in Cambridge, Essex Wire in Zanesville, and she was employed as an aide at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was also a homemaker, and she formerly attended the East Union United Methodist Church. Ruth enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading, and she loved caring for her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Gladys Green, Helen Morris, and Vera Jean Harriman; and two brothers, John Riley Foreman and George Foreman.

Surviving are her children, Becky (Jim) McDermott of Cleveland, John Ruger and Valerie Ruger, both of Caldwell, James Ruger of Dexter City, and Penny (Jeff) Howard of Waterford; one sister, Mary Harriman of Dexter City; 8 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

No visitation will be observed. A graveside service will be observed Wednesday, August 20th, 2014, at 1PM at Ogle’s Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Mark Slay officiating. McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, is caring for the family.
