Obituary for Gary Lee Roberts
Gary Lee Roberts, age 63, of Alliance, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born October 6, 1951, in Belle Valley, son of Maxine Bond Roberts of Belle Valley and the late Charles L. Roberts. He was a 1969 graduate of Shenandoah High School, and he was a United States Army veteran, having served in Germany. He retired as an oil rig worker. Mr. Roberts enjoyed playing the lottery, going to flea markets, and visiting casinos.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by one brother, James Roberts; and one sister, Sylvia Roberts.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Brian (Jackie) Roberts of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his companion, Sherry Sanborn of Alliance; his sibings, Marilyn (Dennis) Brown of Cambridge, Chuck (Sarah) Roberts of Chandlersville, Randy Roberts of Belle Valley, David (Margaret) Roberts of Ava, Carl Roberts of Belle Valley, and Eugene Roberts of Caldwell; one granddaughter, Carla Roberts; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Monday, June 8, 2015, from 11AM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 1PM with Ken Perkins officiating. A military graveside service will follow at Halley’s Ridge Cemetery conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations. Memorial contributions may be made to McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, P.O.
