Gary Edward Lahue, age 72, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, August 30, 2019, at his home. He was born March 7, 1947, in Marietta, son of the late William H. and Nelda L. Landaker Lahue. He was a 1966 graduate of Caldwell High School and had attended Franklin University in Chicago, Illinois. Gary owned and operated the Battery House II in Caldwell, was the retired owner of Lahue and Son Construction, and was a retired Maintenance Supervisor at the Noble Correctional Institution. He had served for many years as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader, was a member of Sons of the American Legion, Post #641 in Belle Valley. Gary will be remembered for his dedication to the Noble County Fair, having served as a Director of the Noble County Agricultural Society for more than 30 years. He loved to hunt and fish. Gary was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife, Dee Ann Brown Lahue, whom he married September 8, 1968; his sons, Brian W. Lahue and Kevin E. (Carrie) Lahue of Caldwell; his grandchildren, Ethan Lahue and Kate Lahue; and cousins, Cindy (Mike) Landaker Clark of Caldwell and Linda (Raymond) Landaker Stillion of Cambridge.
Friends may call Monday, September 2, 2019, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at 11AM with Pastor George Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery. An online guestbook may be signed at www.mcvay-perkins.com.
