Obituary for Gail J. Wheeler
Gail J. Wheeler, age 55, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Morrison House, Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care in Zanesville. She was born August 12, 1957, in Cambridge, daughter of William J. “Toppy” Buckey of Ava, and the late Rea Tarcella Feldner Buckey, who died June 25, 1996. She was a 1975 graduate of Shenandoah High School, and she was employed for 13 years by the Noble County Jail as a corrections officer. She loved her family, and she enjoyed spending time with her children and her grandchildren. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her special friend, Louise Mitchell, whom she cared for for over ten years. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Jerry D. Wheeler, whom she married June 25, 1977; one daughter, Jamie L. (Jamie R.) Hendershot of Caldwell; one son, Jeremy L. (Amy) Wheeler of Hilliard; one sister, Vickie J. (Mike) Somers of Zanesville; two brothers, Mike (Linda) Buckey and her twin brother, Dale J. (Nancy) Buckey, both of Caldwell; four grandchildren, Olivia L. and Colton R. Hendershot and Peyton L. and Riley J. Wheeler; her chihuahua, Princess; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call Thursday, May 2, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Friday, May 3rd at 11AM with Pastor Larry Copley officiating. Burial will follow at Halleys Ridge Cemetery.
