Obituary for Freda L. Miller
Freda L. Miller, age 93, of Dexter City, Ohio, died Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at the home of her son in Bloomfield, Indiana. She was born October 9, 1926, in Noble County, Ohio, daughter of the late Alfred M. and Fey Shuman Tilton. She was a 1944 graduate of Dexter City High School. Early in her life, she worked at the State House in Columbus, and she was later employed by the Ohio State License Bureau in Caldwell. Freda enjoyed collecting glass. She was a beloved wife and mother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Bruce Miller, whom she married September 20, 1947, and who died September 9, 1998; an infant daughter; one sister, Florence F. Tilton Carter; and two brothers, Forrest Tilton and Fred L. Tilton.
Surviving are her children, Carla E. (Keith) Smith of Lancaster, Ohio, Paul B. (Charlene) Miller of Bloomfield, Indiana, Rex A. (Sharon) Miller of Columbus, Georgia, and Scott E. (Karen) Miller of Ostrander, Ohio; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Friends may call Saturday, February 1, 2020, from 11AM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 1PM with Pastor George Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Dudley Cemetery.
