Obituary for Freda L. Elliott
Freda L. Elliott, age 71, of Summerfield, Ohio, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at her home, surrounded by loved ones and holding their hands as she departed this world to be with Jesus. She was born March 2, 1937, in Duffy, West Virginia, daughter of the late Leonard and Thelma Norman Boggs. She was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was happiest when she had a baby to take care of or when she was making her quilts. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Bernard Elliott; one son, Robert Lee Elliott, who died February 6, 2007; three sisters, Kathleen Kiddey, Carolyn L. Cole, and Deb Carnnett; and one brother, Leonard Boggs, Jr. Surviving are one daughter, Tammy (David) Guiler of Summerfield; one son, Terry (Cindy) Elliott of Sarahsville; four granddaughters, Lacy, Ashley, Amanda, and Amber; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandsons, Camryn and Austin; one step-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Emogean (Roy) Smith and Lynn (Don) Brenneman; five brothers, Robert Boggs, Jack (Manon) Boggs, James Kenny Boggs, Darrel Boggs, and Stanley (Sandy) Boggs; several beloved nieces and nephews, and a special friend who was like a son to her, J. J. Hoover. No calling hours will be observed. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at 3PM at Rado Ridge Cemetery near Middleburg with Pastor Nate Gibbons officiating. McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, is caring for the family. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Hospice of Guernsey for all of their loving care and kindness.
