Obituary for Frank B. Lamp
Frank B. Lamp, age 70, of Dexter City, Ohio, died Sunday, May 26, 2013, at his home. He was born January 24, 1943, in Middleburg, son of the late Curtis Belford and Jewell Harriman Lamp. He co-owned and operated Lamp’s Logging and Lumber along with his sons, retiring in 2012. He was also employed by the Ohio Department of Transportation, driving a water truck during the construction of Interstate 77. He was a member of the Green Valley Church of Christ. Mr. Lamp enjoyed hunting, fishing, his horses and mules, and giving hayrides at the Soakum Festival in the fall. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Alice Bond; and two brothers, Clay Lamp and Ervin Lamp. Surviving are his children, Nancy A. “Ann” Lamp of Lower Salem, Irvin B. (Denise) Lamp, Curtis J. (Diana) Lamp, and Judy M. (Dennis) Davis, all of Dexter City, and Trudy L. (Jim) Martin of Beverly; his special friend, Barbara Border of Dexter City; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call Wednesday, May 29th and Thursday, May 30th from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Friday, May 31st at 1PM with Evangelist Dana Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Ogle’s Ridge Cemetery.
