Obituary for Frances M. Tidd
Frances M. Tidd, age 84, of Dexter City, Ohio, died Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born September 11, 1932, in Marietta, daughter of the late Daniel and Frankie McCauley McVay. She was a 1950 graduate of Marietta High School, and she was currently the fiscal officer for the village of Dexter City, and she was employed in various bookkeeping positions over the years. She was a member the of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxilliary, #3665 in Beverly, where she formerly served as president and held various district offices. She loved watching NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon, and she loved collecting many different items over the years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harley Richard “Dick” Tidd, whom she married July 3, 1975, and who died August 11, 2008; and one grandson, Adam D. Biehl.
Surviving are three children, David (Debbie) Biehl of Whipple, and Kathryn Biehl and Kevin (Michele) Biehl, both of Marietta; two step-children, Carman (Michael) Bowers of Dover, Delaware, and Kitty Jo (Duane) Ours of Wooster; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Tuesday, October 18, 2016, from 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, October 19th at 10AM with Pastor Bill Pickenpaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Dexter City Cemetery.
