Obituary for Frances M. Buckey
Frances M. Buckey, age 88, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, April 15, 2017, at her home. She was born June 22, 1928, in Pleasant City, daughter of the late Victor and Inez Larrick Oliver. She was a 1945 graduate of Pleasant City High School, and she was a beloved mother and homemaker. Frances was a member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed shopping. Most of all, she enjoyed loving on her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Buckey, whom she married in 1947, and who died April 10, 1999; and one brother, James Oliver.
Surviving are her children, Sandra K. Paxton of Columbus, David T. (Marsha) Buckey and Debbie L. (Larry) Butler, both of Caldwell, and Doug A. (Jane) Buckey of Louisville, Kentucky; one sister, Barbara (Gene) Shea of San Diego, California; one sister-in-law, Maria Buckey of Caldwell; 9 grandchildren, Brett (Leslie) Paxton, Jennifer (Ben) Paxton Smith, Laura Buckey Bailey, Joshua Buckey, Ryan Butler, Dustin Butler, and Zane, Caroline, and Henry Buckey; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and special nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to her devoted caregivers.
Friends may call Monday, April 17, 2017, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Tuesday, April 18th at 2PM with Rev. Jim Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Halley’s Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Caldwell United Methodist Church, 537 Main Street, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724.
