Obituary for Fern Carnes
Fern Carnes, age 85, of Belle Valley, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born October 7, 1929, in Middleburg, daughter of the late Walter and Lenora Pryor Estadt. She was a 1948 graduate of Dexter City High School, and she was a homemaker and beloved mother. She attended Belle Valley United Methodist Church, and she was a member of the Belle Valley Homemakers. She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard H. Carnes, whom she married September 19, 1948, and who passed July 4, 2001.
Surviving are one son, Eugene F. Carnes of Belle Valley; three aunts, Mary Cotopolis of Canton, Wanda Porter of Columbus, and Blanche Schafer of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Sunday, January 4, 2015, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Monday, January 5th at 11AM with Pastor David Janusik officiating. Burial will follow Hoskinsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Belle Valley United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 184, Belle Valley, Ohio, 43717.
