Obituary for Faydia M. Socha
Faydia M. Socha, age 80, of Cumberland, Ohio, died Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born December 6, 1929, in Beech Grove, Kentucky, daughter of the late Lawrence D. and Dellie T. McComick Warren. She was a homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Caldwell. She enjoyed quilting, making crafts, and horses.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore J. Socha, whom she married October 4, 1946, and who died July 24, 1996; one daughter, Frances Keller; and two sisters, Odeana Hart and Iola Daugherty.
Surviving are her children, Stanley D. Socha and Agnes Kezer, both of Cumberland, and Stella F. Slack of Sarasota, Florida; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Monday, November 15, 2010, from 7-9PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell. The funeral service will be observed Tuesday, November 16th at 10AM at First Baptist Church, 518 North Street, Caldwell, with Pastor Brian King officiating. A graveside service will be observed Tuesday, November 16th at 3PM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Wadsworth, Ohio.
