Obituary for Ethel Zaleha
Ethel Zaleha, age 94, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, September 8, 2014, at Country View Assisted Living in Lore City. She was born April 8, 1920, in Belle Valley, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Kachmar Zaleha. She was a 1937 graduate of Belle Valley High School, and she was Presbyterian by faith. She was employed by and retired from a community hospital in Florida during the time she lived there. She returned to Caldwell to be closer to her family and friends in 2006. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, taking walks, playing word search puzzles, and visiting with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by five brothers, George, John, Victor, Frank, and Robert Zaleha.
Surviving are one sister, Mildred E. (Larry) Allison; two brothers, Andy (Lela Mae) Zaleha, and Paul (Landra) Zaleha; several nieces and nephews, including Grace (John) Bates of Sarahsville, Cheryl (Mike) Hughes of Asheville, North Carolina, and Pat Zaleha of Cary, North Carolina; and several grand-nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday, September 11, 2014, from 11AM-2PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow at 2PM with Pastor Nate Gibbons officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Byesville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
